Pike Lake 4-Person Volleyball Tournament

Ages 12 and up. there will be a round robin followed by semifinals and finals. Register your team by August 3 at <jahawn@rogers.com>. Once all teams are registered, a schedule and rules will be sent out. If you don't have a team and would like to play, email Andrea Hawn for help to find a team. We could use some Linesmen if you would like to volunteer.

Swim Races

Golf ball in the water pickup event for children 3 & under. Life jacket race for 5 & under, followed by freestyle, backstroke, and the underwater swim in the following age categories: 14 & over, 12 & 13, 10 & 11, 8 & 9, and 6 & 7.

Cannonball Contest

Biggest splash! Two age categories - 13 & under and 14 & over.

Tube Race

Competitors will pull themselves along a 60 foot rope on an inner tube. First one to the finish line wins. Two age categories - 13 & under and 14 & over. Tubes and ropes supplied.

Canoe & Kayak Races

Bring Your Own canoe or kayak! All categories will have two age divisions: 13 & under and 14 & over: • Singles - canoe and kayak • Doubles - canoe only • 4-Person - canoe only

Open age category. All swimmers must be accompanied by a boat, canoe, etc.

Two Person Triathalon

Open age category. One person swims across the lake and back, then both people paddle their canoe around “Hawkins” Island and back, then one person runs 1 km.

COLOURING CONTEST

Age Categories: 3 and under, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-14. Choose a picture of your choice to colour with the theme of "Campfire Adventure".

ARTS & CRAFTS CONTEST:

Age Categories: 3 and under, 4-6, 7-9, 10-14, 15+. Crafts, painting, drawing, sculptures, knitting...the sky's the limit! Share your creativity and talents with the Hudson Lakes Community!

TOP CHEF CHALLENGE:

BAKING & PRESERVES - Submit a homemade treat or jar of preserves for your chance at winning a Hudson Lakes Top Chef award. Prizes awarded to: Top Preserves, Top Baked Good, Best "Forest themed" dish

PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST:

Two age categories: 17 and under and 18+. The theme is "Lake Life" and will be judged in two categories; 1) Nature and 2) Activities (starring people). Email submissions to beauchamprenee@hotmail.com by 3 p.m. Saturday August 5. Please include the full name of the entrant and their age. One entry per person.

TIKTOK CHALLENGE:

Prizes awarded to: Best Pet TikTok, Best Family TikTok Dance, Funniest TikTok. Tag @jayda gervais07 and #hudsonlakesregatta2023. Post submissions to TikTok by 3 p.m. Saturday August 5

FISHING DERBY - JULY:

Post a picture of your catch from the Hudson Lakes during the month of July 2023, to be entered in a draw. Post pictures directly to the shared Hudson Lakes Group Facebook album by 1 p.m. Sunday August 6.

Our annual regatta relies on donations to cover the costs of ribbons, trophies and plaques, prizes, materials and incidentals.
